Silenor Drug Interactions
Monoamine Oxidase Inhibitors (MAOIs)
Taking Silenor with MAOIs can increase your chance of developing dangerous side effects. Do not take Silenor if you have taken an MAOI within the past two weeks.
Taking Silenor with SSRI antidepressants can increase the level of Silenor in your blood, increasing your chance of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dose of these medications or use caution when switching from one medicine to another.
Taking Silenor with tolazamide may increase your risk of low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Your healthcare provider may need to monitor your blood sugar levels more closely, especially when starting or stopping Silenor.
Taking Silenor with other tricyclic antidepressants can increase your risk of side effects. Your healthcare provider may need to adjust your dose of these medications.
