Your Rozerem dosing, which comes in an 8 mg tablet, should be taken 30 minutes before bedtime. Since the sleep medicine works quickly, make sure you are ready for sleep before taking Rozerem. Rozerem Dosing: An Overview

There is only one dose of Rozerem® (ramelteon) for treating insomnia -- Rozerem 8 mg taken 30 minutes before bedtime.
 
As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage of Rozerem unless your healthcare provider specifically instructs you to do so.

Some considerations for people taking Rozerem include:
 
  • Your Rozerem medication should be taken 30 minutes before you go to bed.

  • Your Rozerem dosage should not be taken with food or right after eating a meal.

  • Rozerem works quickly; make sure that you are ready for sleep before taking Rozerem. Do not take Rozerem before driving or performing any tasks that require concentration.

  • For Rozerem to work properly, you have to take it as prescribed. Rozerem will not work if you take it differently than your healthcare provider has prescribed.

  • If you are unsure about anything related to Rozerem or your Rozerem dosage, please talk to your doctor, nurse, or pharmacist. Do not stop taking Rozerem without first discussing it with your healthcare provider.
