As a type of sedative, Lunesta® (eszopiclone) can help treat insomnia. This prescription sleep medication comes in the form of a tablet and is taken immediately before bedtime. In most cases, people tolerate Lunesta well. However, this medication is not suitable for everyone. Make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medical conditions you have, as well as any other medications you are taking (including vitamins and herbal supplements) before starting treatment with this product.
