Intermezzo Medication Information
Intermezzo® (zolpidem sublingual tablet) is a drug used to treat insomnia in adults who wake up in the middle of the night and have problems going back to sleep. It is a type of sedative/hypnotic medicine, and is thought to work by binding to certain receptors in the brain known as benzodiazepine receptors.
This sleep medicine comes as a sublingual tablet that is dissolved under the tongue no more than once a night.
