Estazolam
Estazolam is commonly prescribed as a short-term treatment for insomnia. It is only intended to be used for short periods of time and works by enhancing the naturally calming effects of a certain brain chemical. Some of the common side effects include dizziness, coordination problems, and drowsiness. Estazolam comes in tablet form and is usually taken at bedtime.
Estazolam (ProSom®) is a prescription sleep medication approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with estazolam. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Common side effects of estazolam include, but are not limited to:
- Drowsiness
- Slow or sluggish muscle movement
- Dizziness
- Coordination problems.
