Drug Interactions With Estazolam

If estazolam is combined with other medications, negative interactions could occur. These drug interactions with estazolam can increase your risk of side effects, such as confusion, memory loss, and difficulty breathing. Medications that can interact with estazolam include antidepressants, seizure medications, and antipsychotic medicines.  Estazolam (ProSom®) can potentially interact with a number of other medications, especially other medications that affect the brain. Some of the medicines that may lead to estazolam drug interactions include:
 

 

 

  • Barbiturates, including:

 

    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
    • Secobarbital (Seconal®)

 

 

 

  • Other sleep medications
  • Seizure medications.
