Doral Side Effects

Fatigue, daytime drowsiness, and headache are the most common side effects of Doral. These are generally minor and usually do not require medical attention, but it is possible to develop serious side effects that will need to be reported immediately to a healthcare provider. These potentially serious Doral side effects can include memory loss, problems with balance, and depression.

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Doral^® (quazepam); however, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Common Doral Side Effects

Doral has been studied thoroughly in clinical trials. In these studies, the side effects that occur in a group of people taking the drug are documented and are then compared to side effects that occur in another group of people not taking the medicine. This way, it is possible to see what side effects occur, how often they appear, and how they compare to the group not taking the medicine.

In these studies, the most common side effects of Doral included:

Daytime drowsiness -- in up to 12 percent of people
Headaches -- up to 4.5 percent
Fatigue -- up to 1.9 percent
Dizziness -- up to 1.5 percent
Dry mouth -- up to 1.5 percent
Indigestion or heartburn -- up to 1.1 percent.
