Dalmane Side Effects

Side effects of Dalmane can include coordination problems, headaches, and diarrhea. Less common side effects include hot flashes, blurred vision, and increased salivation. Although most Dalmane side effects are minor and require little or no treatment, some are more serious and should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. These include memory loss, suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, and anxiety.

An Introduction to Dalmane Side Effects

As with any medicine, side effects are possible with Dalmane® (flurazepam); however, not everyone who takes the medication will experience side effects. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are easily treated by you or your healthcare provider.

Dalmane is an older insomnia medication, approved many years ago. With newer medications, side effects are carefully documented, and the exact percentage of people who develop each side effect is known. With older medications like Dalmane, this information is less specific and exact percentages are not reported.

  • Sweating
  • Hot flashes
  • Blurred vision
  • Dry mouth
  • Bitter taste
  • Increased salivation
  • Loss of appetite
