Dalmane Drug Interactions

Some of the medications that can cause Dalmane drug interactions include antipsychotic medications, protease inhibitors, and narcotics or opiates. These interactions can increase your risk of certain side effects (for example, confusion or memory loss). Serious side effects can also possibly occur. It is important that you talk with your pharmacist or healthcare provider about any specific Dalmane drug interactions that may apply to you.

 

Dalmane Drug Interactions: An Overview

Dalmane® (flurazepam) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to Dalmane drug interactions include:
 
  • Alcohol
 
 
 
  • Barbiturates, including:
     
    • Amobarbital (Amytal®)
    • Butalbital (Fioricet®, Fiorinal®)
    • Pentobarbital (Nembutal®)
    • Phenobarbital (Luminal®)
    • Secobarbital (Seconal®)
 
  • Certain antibiotics or antifungals, including:
     
    • Clarithromycin (Biaxin®)
    • Erythromycin (Ery-Tab®)
    • Isoniazid (Nydrazid®)
    • Itraconazole (Sporanox®)
    • Ketoconazole (Nizoral®)
    • Miconazole
    • Telithromycin (Ketek®)
 
  • Narcotics or opiates, such as morphine, oxycodone (OxyContin®), or hydrocodone (Lortab®, Vicodin®)
 
 
  • Other sleep medications
